九月的补丁星期二活动中，微软面向Windows 10秋季创作者更新（Version 1709）发布了累积更新KB4457142，在安装升级之后版本号为Build 16299.665。本次累积更新并未引入新的功能或者重大调整，只是安全性修复以及常规性能改进。
出于某些原因，微软在本次版本更新中并未修复太多问题，不过极有可能在本月发布第二批累积更新中带来更多改进。详细的更新日志包括修复了Windows 10秋季创作者更新中IE浏览器和Edge浏览器的安全问题，修复了Windows media, Windows Shell, Windows Linux, Windows kernel, Windows datacenter networking, Windows hyper-V, Microsoft scripting engine, Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows MSXML, Windows graphics, Windows virtualization and kernel, Windows cryptography和Windows MSXML中存在的安全问题。
